Private Property Rights Statement

We support the constitutional right to private property and believe owners are best positioned to create value from their land.

At the same time, development should follow County Code to protect community health and safety and ensure the cost of new infrastructure is borne by the development—not local taxpayers.

Current Prosecuting Attorney True Pearce’s new interpretation allowing unlimited 20-acre splits without consideration of Planning and Zoning will shift those costs from developers onto taxpayers.
